God Will Come Through For You!

This past Tuesday (April 3, 2012) I received a text message from Brian Cain – a brother cop, founder of Code-4 Ministries, and pastor of the recently planted Serve Church in Nelson, GA.  He requested prayer because he had just gone before City Council the night before and made a commitment…let’s just say it was nothing short of a step of faith of biblical proportions.

When we step out on faith in obedience to God, we must remember that ultimately God’s name in on the line.  Just like His name was on the line during every OT battle the Israelites faced, just like His name was on the line on Mt Carmel during Elijah’s “showdown” with the false prophets, just like His name was on the line when His Son uttered the words “It is finished” and gave up the ghost, God’s name is great and to be esteemed.  For His name’s sake, God will not…can not fail.  He will come through and receive glory unto Himself.

In a few moments I am going to ask you to read Brian’s version of events.  This is a must read that will undoubtedly stir your faith.  But first, I want you to think about this day – Resurrection Sunday.  God’s own Son died so that we might live, and through His resurrection He defeated death, hell, and the grave.  I want you to think about the miracle God accomplished in saving your soul.  I want you to think about every sickness, adversity, situation, or struggle that you have faced in the past and through which God proved Himself to you.

Now, think about whatever situation you may be facing right now.  Think about God’s nudging for you to step out on faith in some area of your life or ministry.  Think about the fear or anxiety you may be facing.  Think about that seemingly impossible trial in your faith, finances, health, relationships, or work.

Now, answer this question, “Is there anything too hard for God?”  If He really is God (and I assure you He is), then put Him to the test.  Trust His word, trust the precedence of His past performance, and trust in the power and authority of His name.  See if He won’t come through for you!

He certainly came through for Brian and Serve Church.  Please take a moment to read the story and be encouraged.  God will come through for you!
